Stormont Cross-Country Success!

Stormont Cross-Country Success! 1

On Saturday, 8th February, our Cross Country team took part in the annual NICS Stormont XC competition. The 8 strong team ran exceptionally well in both the boys and the girls races alongside club runners and school teams alike. Proving they are a force to be reckoned with.

A huge thank you to the parents who accompanied the children to the event on Saturday morning to meet Mrs Grant at Stormont.

This was a great opportunity and invaluable experience as we begin to prepare for the Belfast Championship next half term.

Our 12 boys and girls travelled to Mallusk playing fields on 22nd January 2020 to compete against the strongest runners from all across Northern Ireland. With over 200 runners in each race, competition was fierce but our boys and girls all ran superbly well.

The official results will be released soon.

Our Cross-Country team travelled to Donard Park, Newcastle to take part in Round 2 of the Flahavans Cross-Country League this week.

Both teams performed excellently and the boys team finished 1st overall in their race. The girls ran their socks off as well and we had several runners finish in the Top 15.

We now await news to hear if the teams have qualified for the Northern Ireland Finals in January.
