St Ita's Success at Northern Ireland Cross Country
Both our boys and girl’s cross-country teams qualified and competed against the best teams in the country at the Athletics NI cross-country finals at Mallusk playing fields at the beginning of March. Our 12 runners did superbly well, with our boys’ team finishing second overall. This phenomenal achievement was then topped off when one of our runners, Odhran P7FF, qualified for the NI primary school endurance training squad. Only the top 20 runners in the whole of Northern Ireland were chosen for this squad so it was a very proud moment for Odhran, his family and the school when he was chosen.
