Exception

Pupils can wear their PE uniform on days when they attend sport related after school activities or on school outings where required. Full uniform may be required for other events within the school day as communicated by the class teacher. In this case, pupils will be required to change independently at the end of the school day.

All items of uniform, outerwear and accessories should be clearly marked with the pupil’s name. No responsibility shall be taken for the loss of items that are not labelled.

Jewellery

  • For safety reasons, jewellery is not permitted in school. Children with pierced ears can wear one simple stud in each ear. Only stud earrings may be permitted but must be removed for sports and swimming. For health and safety reasons, all other ear rings will be requested to be removed or children may be excluded from sporting/play activities if they cannot do this independently.

Trips or Sporting Events

  • Our sports teams are provided with kits when representing the school at sporting events. For class trips, sporting events and special occasions, staff will advise pupils on the most appropriate clothing for the activity.

Hair

  • Pupils are encouraged to tie long hair back during P.E. activities (i.e. swimming and gymnastics) if the length of a child’s hair is deemed to be a concern due to health and safety considerations. Hair accessories must be very simple and align to the school colours. Extreme hairstyles/colours are not permitted.

School Shoes

  • All pupils should wear black footwear or appropriate trainers on PE days.
