Girls' Gaelic Near Miss
Our Primary 7 girls contested the long-postponed 2024 Autumn League final at the end of February against old rivals, St. Anne's. Despite conceding a goal early in the first half, the girls rallied and a brilliantly taken goal by Alice kept us in the game at half time.
The girls played their hearts out in the second half and with 5 minutes to go, they had managed to cut St. Anne's lead to a single point. The team ran out of time in the end and were bitterly disappointed not to be taking the cup back to St. Ita's but they can hold their heads up high. They never gave up and played right to the final whistle.
The excitement is now building for the Championships which begin in April.
