Each Child Unique. Each Child Talented. All Children Cherished.
St. Ita's Cross-country teams performed magnificently well again at Round 3 of the Flahavan's CC league last week. Despite the disruption of the race being delayed due to Storm Éowyn the previous week, all our runners in each of the four races did themselves and their school proud.
We had quite a few runners make it to the podium as well by finishing in the Top 3 places in their race. We had podium finishes in both fun runs and each of the main races.
In the main races, the boys' team finished with 86 points which earned them 3rd place overall and a place in the upcoming NI finals. The girls' team went one better and finished a close 2nd by only 2 points. This also qualifies them for a spot at the NI finals. This is the 3rd year in a row that we have qualified for this prestigious race.
Well done to each and every runner that has represented the school this year!
