P2 Visit Pizza Express
The boys and girls in P2 are learning about the ‘Bakery’ and how to follow recipes to bake yummy treats. The P2s were very excited to visit Pizza Express to learn how to make a pizza. When the children arrived they washed their hands and were each given an apron and a baker’s hat to wear. The pizza chef carefully explained each step and then the fun began! Everyone got the chance to knead their ball of dough, making it lovely and smooth, to create the perfect pizza base. Next, the P2s spread the tomato sauce onto the pizza base and finished off by sprinkling mozzarella on top. We watched as the pizza chef put all of the pizzas into the giant oven to cook. The P2s knew their pizzas were ready when the delicious smell of pizza filled the restaurant! We took all the pizzas back to school to enjoy later that day. Everyone had a wonderful morning learning how to make pizza and of course, eating their tasty pizzas!
