  • Meet the Moana Cast

    We have had two incredible performances of Moana by our P7 pupils. We thought you might like to see a few photos of the stars of the show.

    Thank you to everyone involved in getting the show to the stage. It was truly a Herculean effort by St Ita's staff. Thanks to Belvoir Players for all their help. A special word of thanks must go to Mr Wilson Shields who has nurtured, taught and encouraged the amazing talent within our school.

    Finally we would like to thank our P7 pupils for their hard work, dedication, resilience and phenomenal talent that made Moana such a magical success.

  • Well Done Esmé

    Esmé from Miss Houston's P4 class was part of history in the making this week when Northern Ireland became the first part of the UK to provide free sign language classes to all deaf children and their families. Esmé was at Stormont representing Action Deaf Youth (ADY). This was to celebrate a new sign language law that was passed on Tuesday. The Sign Language Bill (Northern Ireland) 2025 will put a duty on the Department for Communities to provide free classes for deaf people under-25 and their close families, guardians, and carers. Well done, Esmé!

  • St Ita's Cricketers Selected for Ulster

    Karnan from Mrs Loughran's P5 class along with Darsh and Krish from Mrs Dolan's P6 class have been selected for the NCU's U11 cricket team. The boys will play for Ulster against Leinster this summer. Well done boys! 

  • St Ita's Present a Cheque to Trocaire

    Mark from Trocaire visited St Ita's this week. Mrs Hanna and some pupils presented a cheque to Mark for the amazing total of £2918. This is more than was reported previously as donations continue to come into school. A massive thank you to everyone who made this possible.

  • Miss Walsh's P3 Class Assembly

    Miss Walsh's P3 class gave us our first class assembly of the summer term. The pupils told us about their dreams. They also gave us the recipe to achieve our dreams - Dream Big, Work Hard, Be Kind, Never Give Up and finally, Make It Happen!

  • St Ita's Trocaire Lenten Campaign

    St Ita's want to thank everyone for making this year's Lenten campaign such a success. Crazy Hair Day, a movie afternoon and a Wear Green day all contributed to the fantastic total of £2815. A special mention goes to Mrs Loughran's P5 class who conducted a raffle in class and raised a whopping £121.32. Well done everyone.
