Current and future television presenters were very much a part of Mrs Browne's Early Retirement Assembly yesterday!

We finally caught up with a very busy Nikolas, just long enough to get his photo with Miss Harney and his winning poster. Nickolas is off next week to the Award Ceremony. Well done Nikolas! 

St Ita's last Class Assembly of the school year was well worth waiting for. Miss Sloan's P1 class told us the story of The Lion Who Took a Chance with the theme of trying new things. To see this amazing assembly and a farewell from P1 to Mrs Browne, click here 

St Ita's 20th Anniversary Mass was a truly wonderful celebration of our whole school community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Mass such a memorable event.

Nikolas in Mrs Dolan’s P7 class won the ‘Science of Clean Water’ NI Water poster competition. He has been invited to an award ceremony on the 17^th June. He has also won a cash prize for the school. What a brilliant achievement. You can see a copy of his amazing winning entry- it is very impressive. Nickolas is currently very busy enjoying himself in Carlingford but we will get a photo of him on his return!

Friendship was the theme of Mrs Cunningham's P1 Class Assembly as told by the story of the zebras who lost their stripes. To see this wonderful assembly, click here 

It was an enjoyable day at the Moneyreagh tournament today. Both squads performed very well and did their school proud. On another day and with a bit more luck, we could have been contesting for the cup.

Well done boys!

Thank you to all the parents who were available to transport the boys to and from Moneyreagh and to the dads who helped out coaching as well throughout the day. We genuinely wouldn't be able to take part in days like this without your help.

Primary 7 were very fortunate to have a visit from the Translink Safety Bus. They taught the children how to behave on the bus and how to keep safe. The children now feel confident to travel to their Post-Primary schools safely in September. Thank you Kevin and Paul.

We had a fantastic day of football up at Carryduff GAC last week.

St. Ita's brought 5 teams who all competed excellently and showed great skill and determination.

Oliver and Olly from Mrs Fogarty's P7 class were chosen to represent St.Ita's in the half time games during Down's recent match against Kerry in the Joe McDonagh Cup in Ballycran. The boys had an excellent experience and it was made all the sweeter by Down getting a victory as well.
