Each Child Unique. Each Child Talented. All Children Cherished.
Our P6/7 Camogs were a credit to themselves and their school last week when the took part in Cumann na mBunscol indoor competition.
Across two days of competition, our girls played a total of 7 matches. They won 6 and drew 1, which put them in strong contention to collect the winner's trophy. Unfortunately, their drawn game was against another unbeaten school, Bunscoil Phobal Feirste so it all ended up going down to score difference with BPF just slightly ahead.
The girls were naturally disappointed to have come so close, but it was brilliant to see their skills and talent over the course of the week. There is a lot more to come from this team when Championship time comes around in Term 3.
Well done girls!
The children had a special visitor for our most recent Feel Good Friday – Fitness Freddy from Energy Fitness! He has been working with schools, community groups and clubs for over 18 years putting the fun back into fitness. All year groups (including Nursery) had a half an hour slot of music (ranging from Taylor Swift to Toy Story!), dance, teamwork and jokes! The laughter, singing and high energy levels could be heard radiating from the hall during each session and the children definitely came out on a high! Freddy discussed the benefits of exercise and about finding a way of moving that you enjoy. Well done to all of the children who each received a ‘Fitness Freddy’ certificate!

All players were excellent ambassadors for St Ita's, especially in the new kits- playing their very best and left everything out on the court. They are definitely both teams to watch ahead of the P6 Blitz next year!
Well done to all involved!
