Mikey from P6 swam at the weekend for St Itas in the Swim Ulster Schools Primary Championships.
He won his 50M backstroke heat with a new Personal Best (PB) of 48.51s.
He followed this up with qualification for the 100m Individual Medley.
In the final backstroke final, Mikey finished 7th overall. Unfortunately due to illness, he was forced to withdraw from the 100m IM final.
Mikey was extremely proud to represent St Ita's to say the least!
Well Done Mikey! Everyone in St. Ita's is extremely proud of you.
Primary 6 have been learning how to be mindful and aware of their emotions through the Paws B programme with Patrick McIlwee. The P6 Class love practising their breathing techniques each day during 'mindful minute'. A big thank you to Aware NI for providing the Paws B programme
Carryduff Winning the Shield
Carryduff Harps won the PT Tracey Shield at the Carryduff Tournament in September. Carryduff Ogs got beaten by the Carryduff Harps in the semi-final. The Harps progressed to the final and beat Eire Og to win the Shield. The whole team ran onto the pitch to celebrate their win.
The Gaels also did very well by getting to the final but lost by one point. Well done to Carryduff for organising such a great tournament. We all had such great fun! The atmosphere was great, and the three teams had an amazing day. Congratulations to the winning team, you were great. There will be lots more silverware coming to Carryduff soon.

Well Done May!
Well done to May Burns from Mrs Loughran's P5 class! May captained the winning Under 8 Bredagh camógs team who went onto win a tough tournament held on Saturday 10th September at Cherryvale Playing Fields.
The Bredagh U8s fought off tough competition from two Carryduff teams and a strong Darragh Cross team.
The final against Darragh Cross displayed immense talent and bravery and was a joy to watch. May scored goals and points and encouraged her team to dig hard and work together.
May and the team are very lucky to benefit from the amazing coaching and support from our very own Miss Rocks.
Well done to both May and Miss Rocks!
