Congratulations to all the boys and girls in P4 who received the Sacrament of the Eucharist on Saturday 18th May. It was a really special day for the whole school community. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it a day that will live long in the memory!

Mrs Loughran's P5 class 'Shared' a fantastic day with Gilnahirk Primary School at Lough Moss Leisure Centre on Friday 10th May. This was part of the Shared Education Project involving both schools. The girls and boys participated in Olympic Handball and Wheel Chair Basketball. As you can see from the photos below the girls and boys had an amazing time. We would like to thank Lough Moss for the use of their facilities and in particular Mr Faron Morrison for his tremendous support in organising this event.

LOGAN and FINN Watson (P1) star in Game of Thrones!!

Twins, Logan and Finn Watson from P1 were lucky enough to be cast in Game of Thrones Season 8.

As you can imagine both Mum and Dad are very proud of their achievement especially as they were only 3 ½ when they filmed everything. They spent a week in the Dungeons of Shanes Castle, scary enough for an adult never mind two toddlers!

We, in St. Ita’s are so proud of Logan and Finn and their wonderful acting success at such a young age. To be part of the global phenomenon that is ‘Game of Thrones’ is unbelievable!

Who knows what lies ahead for these two young boys. Hollywood may be calling very soon!

We wish them every success in their future acting careers. Well done boys; you are absolute stars!

ECO Ambassador School Award

Congratulations to St. Ita’s Eco-Committee who received the prestigious Ambassador School Award on Thursday the 21st^sof March at W5. The P6 and P7 representatives attended the     Eco-School’s Annual Teacher Conference and showcased some of their fantastic work. This award recognises excellence in the Eco-School’s programme and is a tremendous achievement for our school. Miss McGarry and the Eco-Committee would like to express their gratitude to the whole school community for their continuous support in ensuring St. Ita’s is environmentally friendly. A big thank you must go to our ECO coordinator, Miss McGarry, for all her hard work.

A big thank you to the boys and girls for dressing up to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.  It was a fantastic day and everyone had a great time presenting their favourite characters.

A big Thank You to parents for supporting World Book Day and the Scholastic Book Fair. The commission from the Book Fair will allow us to purchase  more reading material for the pupils in St.Ita's.
