James from Mrs Fogarty's P7 class completed a swim challenge for charity 'Young Lives vs Cancer'. He swam a whopping 210 25m lengths - over 5 kilometres! The final total raised was £615.

Well done James!

These brave St Ita's camogs who play for Bredagh are pictured after winning the Ita O'Connor Tournament on Saturday 30^th September at Cherryvale playing fields.

They played fiercely, bravely and the team spirit was incredible to witness.

The girls promise to bring the cup into St Ita’s so everyone can celebrate their wonderful success. Well done girls!

Miss Rock's P7 class used the front cover of the book, 'Wonder' as inspiration for their self portraits. 'Wonder' was illustrated by Ted Carpenter.

Pupils thought of adjectives and descriptive phrases to describe themselves to include with their stunning art.

St Ita's past pupil, Mary Kate McSorley is competing this weekend in the Junior Eurovision. Mary Kate is hoping to represent Ireland in France in November. Everyone one in St Ita's will be cheering her on. To read the whole story click here

St Ita's pupils, Lucy, Cora, Conor, Leo and Oliver are appearing this week in the musical Evita at Belfast's Grand Opera House.

They surprised parents by singing for them at the P2 Curriculum Morning. Broadway and the West End beckons!

The amazing total of £941.50 was raised for the Little Miss Niamhie B Foundation before school broke up for the summer holidays. Thanks everyone!

In March 2023, a ceramic artist, Shauna McCann, visited St. Ita’s and every class from P4-P7 participated in a workshop using clay. Each child from P4 to P7 created a tile based on the theme of Spring and Easter. All the individual tiles have been put together to make larger ceramic pieces. P4 and P5 tiles created a cross, P6 tiles created the sun and P7 tiles created the dove.

Mrs Gillespie, who has been a teacher in St Ita's since its opening is retiring from full time work. We held an assembly to celebrate her retirement. Everyone in St Ita's wishes Mrs Gillespie a very happy and healthy retirement.

Last week Rafay and his Mum started their day very early. They were up early to prepare a beautiful lunch for the entire St Ita's staff to thank them for Rafay's journey through St Ita's.
