Each Child Unique. Each Child Talented. All Children Cherished.
Celebrating togetherness through difference was the theme of the final class assembly before Half-Term Break. Mr McConville's talented P7 class entertained us with their many talents, illustrating beautifully the theme of the assembly. The assembly can be viewed by clicking here
On Monday 2nd February, we celebrated Safer Internet Day in school. Each year group attended a pastoral assembly based on the theme of ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.’ The Digital Leaders team led a fantastic assembly for P1/2 to raise awareness of how students can stay safe online at home and in school. Our community police officer spoke with P3-7 classes about the importance of their digital footprint, tips to stay safe online and how to report when something doesn’t feel right.
Mrs Fogarty's P7 pupils last ever St Ita's Class Assembly took place in spite of 3 members of the cast being off school with sickness today and yesterday's storm Chandra interruption.
The theme of the assembly was 'Growth' and 'Moving On'. Well done P7! To see the video please click here
Dear Colleagues/Parents,
Due to the amber weather warning currently in place and after consultation with other school
Principals in the South Belfast Area, we have taken the decision to close the school tomorrow, Tuesday 27th January.
As school leaders we have a duty of care to everyone in our school community.
We apologise for the short notice and look forward to seeing all our pupils again on Wednesday 28th January.
Kind regards
Geraldine Hanna

Catholic Schools Week is being celebrated in our school this week. The theme this year is 'Normal Lives, Called to Holiness.'
A very special part of Catholic Schools Week is that we celebrate Grandparents' Day, a truly special occasion, that is one of the highlights of the year for our pupils.
This year, when hopefully the weather is milder, we look forward to welcoming our grandparents for Grandparents' Day on Friday 20th of March. We will also remember
those grandparents who are no longer with us.
As part of our celebrations, we are creating a 'Grandparents Tree' display and it would be lovely to include photographs of your child's grandparents. Please ensure your child's name is on the back of all photographs so that they can be returned safely to you.
