  • The Cross Country Season Begins

    Wed 25 Oct 2023

The St. Ita's cross-country teams travelled to Newtownards on Monday 23rd October for the first round of the Flahavan's league. Despite the wet weather last week, the 1000m course was in very good condition and both the boys and girls' races were ran at a very fast pace.

Chloe from Mrs Fogarty's P7 class ran a very smart race and finished strongly to come in second and collect the silver medal. All our other runners, including the boys and girls, finished with great times. We now await the full results to see where we have scored in relation to the 'team' events.

Well done boys and girls! Our next outing for the cross-country league will be in December.

  • Molly is an absolute Star!

    Mon 16 Oct 2023

    Molly is an absolute Star!

Molly from Miss Harney's P2 class is such a wonderful girl! She decided that she wanted to do something for those children who are suffering from cancer. So what do you think she decided to do?

Well, she actually decided to get her hair cut!

Twelve inches, approximately thirty centimetres, of Molly's hair was cut off! This will go to 'The Little Princesses Trust'.  A financial donation will also be made to cover the actual making and fitting of a hairpiece.

Molly actually raised an amazing £3500 doing this wonderful deed!  This money will be divided between 'Solving Kids Cancer' and 'The Children's cancer Unit Charity'.

Everybody in St. Ita's is so proud of Molly and what she has done to support those children suffering from cancer.

It makes us all realise that every day we should do at least one good deed to put a smile on someone's face.

Well done Molly, you are an absolute star!

They played fiercely, bravely and the team spirit was incredible to witness.

The girls promise to bring the cup into St Ita’s so everyone can celebrate their wonderful success. Well done girls!
