Each Child Unique. Each Child Talented. All Children Cherished.
Our camogie team attended the Cumann na mBunscol Camogie Blitz on Monday. After some great performances in the seeding competition the girls were placed in division 1 alongside St Anne’s, Christ the Redeemer and St John the Baptist; all strong and well established camogie teams.
Our girls, many still in their first year or two of their camogie careers, displayed excellent determination throughout the games. They grew in confidence, battling hard for every ball and ensuring their opponents did not get any easy scores. Although the results did not go our way, the girls learnt a lot from the matches and should be proud of the improvements in their performances throughout the blitz. They linked well for some great team play and grew in confidence individually and as a group. Well done girls! You should be proud of how you played, many for the last time in the St Ita’s jersey.
Our camogie team enjoyed 3 competitive matches on Wednesday in the 11-a-side Cumann na mBunscol seeding blitz. A team of 15 girls travelled to St. Brigid’s, Musgrave Park and displayed excellent skills and determination on the pitch. The girls battled for every ball and are looking forward to the Championship coming up in June.
In the final Class Assembly of the school year, Miss Sloan's P1 Class Assembly was all about the importance of friendship and trying new things, told through the eyes of Milo, The Monkey Who Could. What a fitting way to end this year's Class Assemblies. To see the video click here
The lucky winners of the Matilda Show Raffle were drawn last week. A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored the very generous prizes. The winners were:
Well done to our Primary 6 and 7 hurlers who competed brilliantly well at the first Cumann na mBunscol blitz of the summer term.
They had 3 great games against St. Anne's, St. Bride's and Gaelscoil na Mona.
We look forward to the next round of fixtures in the coming weeks.

The St. Ita's Development Cup gaelic football squad took part in and won an epic final against St. John the Baptist PS last week.
It was close throughout with some excellent skills on show from both teams but as the final whistle blew, it was the boys from St. Ita's who had come out on top!
The game was nip and tuck for the whole 40 minutes and it took real grit and determination for our boys to get over the line.
The game finished 5-2 to 2-3 in the end and our joint captains, Ben and Conall collected the trophy on behalf of the squad.
As always, they all wore the jerseys proudly and were a credit to their school.
Well done boys!
