  • Minister Kimmins visits St. Ita's

    We were delighted to welcome the Minister for Infrastructure, Liz Kimmins to our school last week as part of her campaign to promote new road safety measures. Her visit gave our pupils the opportunity to learn first-hand about the importance of staying safe when walking to and from school, and how small changes in daily routines can make a big difference.   • Cross Country Winner, Aslan

    Well done to all our cross-country runners that took part in Round 2 of the Flahavan's League in Downpatrick on Monday. We had over 20 runners involved and despite the conditions, they all raced brilliantly and achieved great finish times.

     

    A special mention must go to Aslan who finished 1st in the Boys' Fun Run. This was a very special achievement as there were a total of 67 runners in the race.

  • A Wriggly Nativity

  • Boys' Hurling Success

    After successfully navigating the group stages unbeaten, our hurlers continued their winning streak at the finals' day and came home with the cup. 

     

    There were examples of excellent play during all our matches with some brilliant goals scored, brave defending to keep our opponents at bay and every squad member playing their part. 

     

    Well done boys! We are really proud of you!!

  • Eco Council Tree Planting

    To celebrate National Tree Planting Week (22nd - 30th November), the Eco Council and Miss Harney travelled to Colby Park to plant some trees. The initiative, introduced by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, encourages people to plant and celebrate the vital role trees play in our world.

  • Well Done Boys

    Well done to our hurlers who went unbeaten in the group stages of the Cumann na mBunscol indoor hurling tournament yesterday. The boys have now qualified for the finals' day on Friday where they will have a chance to compete for the Indoor Hurling Cup.

  • Indoor Hurling Blitz
