• Almac Group Gift to Primary 7

  We are delighted that St. Ita’s Primary School has been invited to participate in the STEAM Science-in-a-Box programme supported by Almac Group, who have gifted this programme to our P7 classes. 

  

• Girls Through to the Final

  Well done to our St. Ita's Camogs who won all of their group matches at the indoor camogie blitz today at St. John's GAC. They have qualified for the finals day on Friday against the other group winners. Best of luck girls!

  

• Well Done Isla

  Isla from Mrs Taggart's P5 class has spent the last few weeks making key chains and bracelets to sell at a local Christmas Fair. All the money she raised will go to 'Cash for Kids'. Her total at the moment is £207. Well done Isla!

• Well Done our P6 & P7 Hurlers

  Our P6 and P7 hurlers participated in the Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Blitz at St. John's GAC last week. 

  The boys displayed impressive skill, winning all three group matches to reach the finals. 

  Though they didn't secure victory in the final, they demonstrated great determination and resilience.

• Super Support Staff

  St Ita's Wellbeing Champions worked hard last week to design a ‘Super Support Staff’ acrostic poem and jigsaw puzzle. This is to acknowledge all of the hard work from the support staff in our school.

  

• Miss Basketfield's P4 Class Assembly

• County Down Scór Champion

  St Ita's have a new County Down Scór Champion,

   

  Selma from Mrs Duffy's P6 Class was part of the Carryduff GAC team that won the Down Scór na nÓg novelty act final! They are now going on to compete in the Ulster Semi-Final this coming Sunday. Good luck to Selma and all of her drama group.

   

  Eimear from Mrs Duffy's P6 class and Kate from Ms Flanagan's P6 class performed in the final of the Instrumental Competition and were super, and although they didn't win, their performance, along with the novelty act resulted in Carryduff GAC being awarded the Moya McCormack Spirit of Scór cup, which is awarded to the club which best exemplifies the values and traditions of the Scór na nÓg competition.

• New Basketball Kit for St Ita's

  We welcomed Paula Devenney from Cahill's/Truly Fare into St. Ita’s on Wednesday 6th November to present our pupils with a brand-new set of basketball jerseys and shorts. These were very kindly donated by Truly Fare and will be proudly worn at our P5, P6 & P7 basketball blitzes throughout the year. Their generous gift is very much appreciated.
