  • St Ita's are Cross Country Champions Again!

    Thu 23 Jan 2014
St Ita’s Girls’ Cross Country Team have triumphed in The Flahavan’s Primary School Cross Country League. The team won the Down District League and has qualified for the Ulster Primary Schools Finals at Mallusk on Tuesday 11th February. Illness in the boys’ team prevented them from matching the girls’ achievements in the final race of the league but Ryan Miskelly did qualify for the individual Ulster Final.
At a very wet and muddy Donard Park in Newcastle, the last race of the league took place. The girls and boys pulled out all the stops to produce some fabulous performances with Rachel Scott finishing 1st, Sophie Senior 5th, Naoise Gormley 7th and Kerri Donnelly 8th with Fergus McGrady finishing 6th in the boys’ race.

Congratulations to all of our runners for their great performances and also for their dedication and commitment so far this season in some very challenging conditions. Good luck to all St Ita’s runners in February’s Ulster Finals.
